Pulse of the Universe

About Us
Our Story
We began as a high school club enthused about space. When we heard Sun Rings by Terry Riley, we were astounded by how much it expanded our understanding of space and connected us to the universe. We realized this would be an excellent way to bring our passion for astronomy to those who were visually-impaired. Thus, we founded the Pulse of the Universe and began our journey to bring the stars to your ears.
Our Mission
Our mission is to take space and sonify it, building a database of powerful sounds of space so that everyone can enjoy the power of the universe before us. Too many people have been prevented the chance of experiencing the majesty of the universe around us. That ends now.
Goals:
-
Develop systems for sonifying patterns in space
-
Arrange orchestrations of space events to educate the visually-impaired about the wonders of space.
-
Make astronomical studies accessible to all people
