Sonification Contest

Composers and Astronomers Unite!

Each year, we hold a contest for which composer is best able to sonify an incredible image from space. These compositions may use any instrument combination but must find the heart of the image and transpose it into music.

This year, submissions will be due on February 1st, 2024.

Winners will have their composition highlighted at our awards event.
